Driveway sealing in Terrigal.
Terrigal is as coastal as it gets, and that puts driveways under constant salt spray, intense UV and steep slopes down to the beach. We use salt-resistant sealers and slip-rated coatings built for the harshest position on the whole Central Coast.
The Terrigal driveway story.
The harshest salt exposure on the Coast.
Terrigal, Wamberal and Avoca Beach driveways sit metres from the surf in some cases, in air saturated with salt spray. That salt is brutal on unprotected concrete, it drives chloride into the slab, scales the surface, and shreds cheap solvent acrylic sealers within a single summer. This is the one part of the Coast where sealer choice really matters. We spec marine-grade, UV-stable, chloride-resistant penetrating sealers, the products that actually survive a beachfront position rather than the budget coatings that fail and have to be stripped.
Steep driveways and the wet.
The land around the Terrigal headland and up toward Wamberal Lagoon is steep, so driveways pitch sharply, and a steep sealed driveway in a rain-prone beach suburb is a genuine slip hazard. We build anti-slip coatings to a P4 or P5 wet-pendulum rating into almost every Terrigal job, keeping the surface safe to walk and reverse on after the regular sea-side showers.
Shorter reseal cycles, planned ahead.
Because of the salt, Terrigal driveways need resealing more often than the rest of the Coast, every 2 to 3 years for most surfaces rather than 3 to 5. We are upfront about that at the measure and leave you a reseal reminder, so you do a cheap light recoat on schedule instead of an expensive strip-and- reseal once a neglected coat has failed in the salt.
Typical Terrigal jobs.
- Marine-grade penetrating reseal on a 60m² beachfront concrete driveway ($900 to $1,500)
- Wet-look aggregate reseal with slip additive on a Wamberal driveway ($1,200 to $1,900)
- Anti-slip recoat on a steep Terrigal headland driveway ($550 to $950)
- Paver reseal and re-sand on an Avoca Beach drive ($600 to $1,100)
- Resurfacing overlay on a salt-scaled Forresters Beach slab ($2,900 to $5,000)
